Children In Need Week

Children In Need Week: A Splash of Fun for a Great Cause!

This year, Stanway raised an impressive £171.65!

Throughout the week, our students where encouraged to swim in their pyjamas, turning the swimming pool into a vibrant sea of colours and patterns.
The children wore their favourite PJs to foster a sense of community and create awareness about a critical subject: water safety.

Each session was designed to be interactive, incorporating fun games and engaging questions that emphasised the importance of water safety.

Throughout our lessons, we focused on essential skills such as identifying safe swimming areas, treading water, mastering the star float, and recognising potential hazards. Additionally, we delved into critical rescue skills that empower our swimmers to stay safe while enjoying the water.

It’s inspiring to see our swimmers not only learn these vital skills but also understand their significance in ensuring a safe swimming environment.

Thank you to everyone at Stanway for getting involved and raising money to support Children In Need and promoting a message that matters – Water Safety!

Reminder: For all the parents that enjoyed watching and hearing about your child’s water safety session. We run a swim camp every school holiday 9.30am until 3pm to help promote water safety, learn basic first aid, how to spot dangers around a pool and at home and make new friends.
