Group Lessons

We believe that swimming is a life skill and that learning should be fun and enjoyable

Our "Montessori" style approach to learning makes sure that whatever your ability you will be able to improve and enjoy your time in the water

First Strokes model each lesson to suit the individual student's abilities within a group lesson, or on a one-2-one basis

A fully qualified teacher leads each small class of just 8 children, with assistants in the water when required.

Swimmers work at their own pace within a small class, and a low teaching ratio of instructor to pupils - this has proven to build up even the weakest swimmers confidence and ability in the quickest time

Our lessons are 30 minutes in duration and run for a 10 weeks per term, 5 terms per year and cost £76.00 per term

Swimmers work towards our bespoke awards - First Strokes Awards - which allows us to cater for all ages and abilities and make the learning both rewarding and enjoyable

Term 3: Monday 23rd June to Sunday 31st August 2008
Term 4: Monday 1st September to Sunday 9th November 2008
Term 5: Monday 10th November to Sunday 1st February 2009
