Stingray Level

Sensational! You can swim with Sammie Stingray!

Improver lessons are for children that are able to swim independently over a distance of 10 metres, but may need buoyancy aids on occasions to further develop the strokes.

All three main strokes (front, back and breaststroke) are covered and further distances achieved, together with the introduction of poolside rescues, surface dives, advanced sculling, personal survival ‘help’ position, basic CPR and the dolphin leg kick.

With practice, progression will lead to competence in the perfomance of the skills. To confirm competence the student should be able to perform the skill with consistent reliabilty, based on:- Introduction, Development, Competence and Consistence.
